Elisabetta Cocciaretto got off to a good start in the Netherlands: the Italian tennis player qualified for the second round of the S-Hertogenbosch tournament thanks to a good two-set victory over home favorite Arianne Hartono.

The Blue, world number 123 and on her first outing on grass this season, overcame the Dutch wild card 7-6, 7-5. Particularly challenging was the first partial, decided by a very long tie-break, which ended 13-11 for Cocciaretto.

In the second set, the Azure’s break, obtained in the 12th game, was decisive. Now the Marche-based tennis player will face the winner of the match between Magda Linette of Poland and Bernarda Pera of the United States.
