Pioli one step away from returning to Italy: Fiorentina awaits him

His adventure in the Saudi Pro League, at the helm of’Al-Nassr, is coming to an end after only one year. Pioli, as Cristiano Ronaldo did a few days ago, is about to bid farewell to the Saudi club and return to coach in’beloved Italy.
Also being approached for the national team bench (the choice now seems to have fallen to Ranieri), Pioli seems to have decided to accept Fiorentina’s court. The white smoke has not yet arrived but negotiations seem quite advanced with the coach who would gladly return to Fiorentina, a club he knows perfectly well.
Pioli, in fact, coached the Viola from 2017 to 2019 and also wore, when he was a footballer, the lily jersey (from 1989 to 1995). In short, he knows the ambitions of the square and knows what it takes to make Fiorentina fans happy.
After the’farewell of Palladino, Fiorentina wants to start again with an experienced coach, such as Pioli precisely. First, however, the coach himself will have to find a way to free himself from the contract that ties him to Al-Nassr until June 2026 (about 12 million euros in salary). Pioli is the first choice of the Viola, which, however, always keeps in consideration other profiles such as former Juventus coach Thiago Motta and former Ajax coach Farioli. Should bureaucratic complications arise, there would certainly be no shortage of alternatives.
