Slovakia–Spain, a match valid for the first day of Group A of the ongoing European Under-21 Championships in Slovakia, is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Bratislava. The Red Furies, who have lifted the trophy three times in the last six editions, are the big favorites against the host team and generally figure among the favorites in the entire competition. The two teams are placed in Group A, the same as Italy and Romania.
