Leroy Sanè lands in Turkey: agreement reached with Galatasaray

After five intense and successful seasons, Leroy Sané closes his chapter with Bayern Munich and is set to live a new football adventure. The German offensive outfielder, born in 1996, has signed with Galatasaray, leaving the Bavarians on a zero-parameter basis and rejecting the renewal offer submitted by the German club.
Sané, who arrived at Bayern in 2020 from Manchester City, has racked up more than 200 appearances in the jersey of Germany’s most titled club, contributing significantly to victories in the Bundesliga and domestic cups. In his farewell message to the fans and the club, the player wanted to express his gratitude for his years in Munich:
“After 5 intense years here in Munich, I have decided to start a new chapter next season. I am incredibly proud to have worn the jersey of Germany’s best and biggest club for over 200 games, and I will always cherish the titles we won together. I will always be grateful for my time here.”
Sané’s future will now be tied to the colors of Galatasaray. The Turkish club, thanks to a decisive acceleration in recent days, managed to beat off competition from other European big names, including Tottenham, and secure the player’s signature. In fact, Galatasaray’s president and board of directors have been working hard over the past two weeks to bring the striker to Istanbul.
Sané has reached an agreement until 2028, with a net salary of about 11 million euros per season. The player has already arrived in Turkey and will undergo medical examinations and affix his signature on the contract in the coming hours.
