FIFA has a new anthem: the song is called ‘Desire’ and it will be sung by Laura Pausini and Robbie Williams. The two artists will perform live for the first time at the Club World Cup final, set for July 13.

The song was written by Robbie Williams together with collaborators Karl Brazil, Owen Parker and Erik Jan Grob. It will be heard for the first time in the opening match of the World Club Championship between Al Ahly and Inter Miami: the song will be accompanied by a video projected on the big screen at the’Hard Rock Stadium.

“Our Fifa musical ambassador Robbie Williams has created a fantastic, incredible, exciting and brilliant official Fifa anthem, and the participation of Laura Pausini is wonderful. With the participation of two incredible musicians, this great song ‘Desire’ is the song of world soccer and having it as part of the opening ceremony of the inaugural match will set the right tone for the’start of the first Club World Cup. It will be truly epic” wrote Gianni Infantino on Instagram.
