Canadian GP qualifying saw George Russell take pole position (as he did last year). An outstanding achievement for the British driver who celebrated his feat at length. Of tall’different mood Charles Leclerc who, at the start of the GP in Montreal, will start from the’eighth box.

On the last lap, the one to try for pole position, the Monegasque recorded the best first sector of all on a chronometric level but, then, he made a mistake that forced him to abort the lap and, as a result, to have to settle for an eighth position that definitely bothered him.

“It wasn&#8220t Hadjar&#8217s fault, it wasn&#8217t in the middle of the road, but on a track like this, even if it&#8217s 100 meters away, you feel it right away. It pissed me off….e because the pole could have been ours and instead we are behind. I am angry, I felt comfortable in FP3. I felt good but now it’s all to do again”, the words of Charles Leclerc to Sky Sport.

It’s been two years that Saturday is more difficult than Sunday. I will try to do something special in the race but I don’t know. We have made life more difficult for ourselves in the run-up to the race”, the commentary of the same Ferrari driver called, for a change, to a real miracle to try to at least take the podium in Montreal.
