Ferrari, Charles Leclerc does not hide all his frustration

Charles Leclerc did not hide all his disappointment to the microphones of Sky Sports after the Canadian Grand Prix, in which he finished in fifth place thanks to contact in the final between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri that forced the Englishman to retire.
.
“I thought I could make a stop – admitted the Monegasque -In the first part of the race I was quite convinced, especially when I saw Russell come back in to mount a new Hard tire. He wasn”t running particularly fast times, so I said to myself that maybe I could try it, also because the degradation was under control”.
“A single stop seemed feasible, even looking at Lewis’ first stint on Medium: he looked comfortable– added the Rossa driver -But in the end the pit wall has more information than we do in the car, so I trusted the strategy”.
“This result also stems from the mistakes made in free practice, first of all on my part, and then from the traffic in qualifying, which compromised our starting position and made Sunday more complicated. It was not an easy race”.
“Me less serene than usual compared to others? I always try to maximize what I have available to me. There are races where the situation can be more frustrating, it is true, but I do not think it is because of others. We simply do not have a car that can win at the moment. And that, more than anything else, is the real limit” Leclerc concluded.
