Jannik Sinner, Fonseca is coming: the unabashed rising star on the Azure

Jao Fonseca is often referred to by many insiders as the’only one among the very young tennis players with the right potential to catch up with the two current tennis kings, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The talented Brazilian, 19 in August, is very ambitious and in an interview with Tennis TV spoke about what he hopes will be his future rivals.

“I really enjoy watching Sinner and Alcaraz matches. I watched the Roland Garros final and they played incredible tennis, what they are both doing is good for tennis”.

“I like to watch how they play, the way they handle the important points– continued Fonseca, currently number 54 in the world-. When you watch the match with your family it is different. You usually look at the posture they take during the point, whether they are positive or negative. Things you normally fail to notice when you play against them”.

“On television, on the other hand, you can see everything – explained Fonseca, who is carefully studying the two phenomena -. I was talking about this with my coach last week. I really hope I can face them in the future”.
