Matteo Arnaldi retired: Queen's without Italians

Matteo Arnaldi was forced to withdraw even before the start of the prestigious ATP 500 tournament at Queen’s Club. The Ligurian tennis player, who was scheduled to play in the first round against Denmark’s Holger Rune, was forced to forfeit an hour before the start of the match.
The Blue has an ankle problem that is forcing him to upset his Wimbledon preparation plans: he hurt it during Sunday’s practice with Jack Draper. Arnaldi, who slipped on the ground, seemed to have recovered but on Monday morning things got worse.
The San Remo tennis player chose caution, also in view of the Championships, kicking off June 30 on London’s grass: he was the only Azzurro in the draw after the withdrawals of Lorenzo Musetti and Matteo Berrettini, both out due to physical problems.
