Jannik Sinner does not trust his next opponent: "I expect the'unexpected from him"

World No. 1 and title holder Jannik Sinner got off to a good start in Halle, overcoming Yannick Hanfmann in two sets in the first round in a match that could have had pitfalls: it was the first on grass this season for the Blue. “I am very happy, he has a great serve and he is a very good baseline player, so to break him is not easy on this surface”.
“I am very happy with how I handled the difficult situations mentally. The first set could have ended in a tie-break and then anything can happen” are the words reported by the ATP’s website.
“I am very happy with my performance. The first matches are never easy on the grass, and the same goes for the second and third, so let”s see what happens in the next round”.
Jannik Sinner will return to the court on Thursday, against Alexander Bublik: “What to expect from him? The’unexpected. He is a great player. A great talent. A huge talent, actually, and grass is his favorite surface. He beat me here in Halle, he won the trophy here in Halle, so it is definitely a place he loves to play. I try to keep calm mentally and see how far I can go”.
