Ferrari, Christian Horner confesses to being contacted

Christian Horner in an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf admitted that he has been contacted by Ferrari: “I am flattered that other teams have thought of me. Ferrari has actually contacted me in the past. But my heart beats for Red Bull.”

“I have invested most of my life in this team. I feel a huge loyalty to all the staff members and I also feel the support of the parent company. I feel a responsibility to those who work here. When I arrived at Red Bull, there were 380 employees. Now there are about 2,000, considering all departments. We collect something like a quarter of a billion euros a year from sponsors and marketing revenue. It is a huge business. In addition, the sports results achieved over all these years speak for themselves. We have won 124 of the 402 races held and won a total of fourteen world championships.”

“Resigning was never an option for me. The same goes for the people around me. I have always felt great support from a loyal group of people within the organization. But I prefer not to delve too deeply into the subject” he concluded.
