Ducati, Marc Marquez goads Pecco Bagnaia

Marc Marquez spoke at a press conference at Mugello, where the Grand Prix d’Italia is staged this weekend. “Certainly we arrive in very good shape after Aragon and the tests went well – he began -We will try to maintain the same level, I know that we come to a circuit that is the home GP for Ducati and for my teammate, who has won here for the last three years”.

“I expect a very strong Pecco, but also a very strong Alex, because it is a circuit where he normally goes very fast– added the Ducati centaur. “Let’s see if we can stay with them: if it will be possible, it will already be very good news for us”.

“I will try to understand why Bagnaia has done so well here in recent years: in 2024 I had the chance to compare his data a little bit to mine, however, the bike was a little bit different – explained the MotoGP leader -. Now we will try to understand it even more in depth and I will try to take advantage of his data and also Alex’s, because both of them are normally very fast here”.

“Beating Pecco at Mugello would not be a final ruling for the World Championship, because right now the main opponent is my brother Alex. It is not over for Pecco and it is not over for Alex, the championship is extremely long and now begins a period in which there will be continuously two consecutive races. We are in a sport where you can get injured and a lot of things can happen, there are still a lot of points up for grabs: on a circuit on which I am struggling the goal is to stay close to them, but if I feel strong I go on the attack to take the maximum amount of points, as I did in Aragon” concluded Marquez.
