Real Madrid, fear for Kylian Mbappé: hospitalized
Bad news at Real Madrid. After the disappointing draw with Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal in the Club World Cup opener, the Spanish club reported that Kylian Mbappé has been hospitalized with acute gastroenteritis.
“Our player Kylian Mbappé is suffering from an’acute form of gastroenteritis– reads the Blancos– official note; and has been hospitalized to undergo a series of investigations and follow the most appropriate treatment”.
The French star had missed the opening match at the Club World Cup due to a’viral infection, as pointed out by coach Xabi Alonso in the press conference introducing the match against the Saudi club.
At this point, the Spanish coach is also likely to have to do without Mbappé for the Merengues’ next match, engaged with Pachuca on Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
