Club World Cup: Flamengo’s win over Chelsea, Benfica’s goleada at'Auckland City

Two Club World Cup matches played on the Italian evening. In the first, valid for Group C, which, however, ended later than the second because of a very long interruption due to the presence of lightning in the area of Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, in which it took place, Benfica overwhelmed Auckland City 6-0.
The New Zealanders thus earned the name of the competition’s top team by nabbing another goleada after the 10-0 loss to Bayern Munich. The goals were scored by Di Maria on a penalty kick in the eighth minute of the first half, by Pavlidis in the 53rd minute, by Renato Sanches in the 63rd minute, by Barreiro, a brace in the 76th and 78th minutes, and again by Dimaria, again on a penalty kick, in the eighth minute of the second half.
The New Zealanders were the first team to win the competition.
The other match, played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and valid for Group D, saw Flamengo’s 3-1 comeback success over Chelsea. Londoners took the lead through Pedro Neto in the 13th minute but in the second half the cariocas turned the game around through Bruno Henriqueal 62′, Danilo in the 65th minute and Wallace Yan, who had just entered, in the 83rd minute. The Blues ended the game in ten due to Jackson’s expulsion in the 68th minute.
