Pietro Aradori says goodbye to Fortitudo and goes down flat: harsh words

Pietro Aradori bids farewell to Fortitudo not without some controversial hints bound to spark debate.
“It is never easy to say goodbye – he writes -especially after six seasons lived intensely. Because Bologna, for me, has become home. And Fortitudo, a second skin. You welcomed me – perhaps with some distrust at first, because of my past – but then as one of you. Always”.
“Six years is a long time, in sports it is a lifetime. We have shared everything: salvation, relegation, joys, hardships, disappointments, good and not so good games. And there are moments that stick with you: like your hug when I returned from my Achilles tendon injury. That warmth I remember like it was yesterday. Goosebumps. Over the years we have gone through salvations, relegations, happy nights and bitter evenings. But always with the same jersey, the same pride. And you in the stands, supporting us. Me with you. Sometimes beautiful to watch, sometimes less so. Never perfect, but always true. And, above all, never willing to give up”.
.
And here… “My dream was to end my career here. I always said that. But there was never a confrontation because the decision, in all likelihood, had already been made for a while. I’m sorry, because after six years I would have expected at least a phone call. But that’s okay nowadays likes are worth more than words when posts replace handshakes. Still, I hope I have given you at least some of what you have given me”.
“With gratitude. Thank you Fortitudo. Thank you white-blue people. You have been the most intense journey of my career” closing.
