Inter, Cristian Chivu happy for the redemption of one of his protégés

If the Inter Milan beat the’Urawa Reds it owes it mainly to a youngster, namely Valentin Carboni. The Argentine striker, class of 2005, scored the goal of the defining 2-1. A three-point goal, as well as his first mark with the Nerazzurri jersey.

Cristian Chivu knows Valentin Carboni well, having coached him in the Nerazzurri youth team. Seeing him back on the field, after his long injury layoff, to make a difference is a huge satisfaction for the new Nerazzurri coach, who, in fact, extolled his young striker.

The Nerazzurri’s new coach has been very pleased to see him back on the field.

“I was pleased with Valentin Carboni, who returned to the field eight months after his ACL injury. He has seen darkness, asked himself questions. He experienced uncertainties. I was moved by him too, he is a guy I know very well. I am glad that he is experiencing such a strong emotion’the words, in the post-match press conference, of the Inter coach himself.

The feeling is that Valentin Carboni, along with the other youngsters currently at Cristian Chivu’s disposal, can come in very handy during the upcoming season. The Club World Cup, for all of them, is a great opportunity to showcase themselves and prove that they have what it takes to be confirmed for next season as well. Cristian Chivu knows them all very well and is ready to give them confidence.
