Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't quit Al Nassr: renewal closer

Cristiano Ronaldo is not quitting the’Al Nassr, despite the recent farewell of Stefano Pioli and some past statements that suggested his intention to leave Saudi Arabia to start over in a new place that could allow him to add new trophies to his personal trophy cabinet and attempt the assault to 1000 career goals.
These prospects seem to have changed in the meantime, as Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be in the process of renewing his contract with Al Nassr, which expires on June 30. Still to be determined is whether he will extend it by just one season or even until 2027, when CR7 will be a whopping 42 years old.
Practically impossible to return to Europe, for him there had been talk of a possible transfer to Mexico and to be precise to Monterrey, a team that Inter faced in the FIFA Club World Cup and in which his great friend and former teammate Sergio Ramos plays.
His farewell also seemed certain by virtue of some statements dating back to late May, after an Al Nassr defeat against Al Fateh. On that occasion Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on Instagram: “This chapter is closed. The story? It is still being written. Thank you all”. A month later, however, everything seems to have changed.
