Juventus: Vlahovic toes the line, David deal gets complicated

Juventus is grappling with a rather thorny case. The Bianconeri club seems determined to change its offensive department, betting on Jonathan David, a 25-year-old Canadian striker whose contract is expiring with Lille. However, to get to the classic white smoke, a major sale would be needed, namely that of Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian center forward, author of two goals at the Club World Cup, no longer seems to fit into Juventus’ plans. Renewal, spreading his very high salary (12 million euros per season), seems far away. A transfer is the’only viable route but Dusan Vlahovic is not very inclined to listen “to the advice” of the Bianconeri club.
The Bianconeri 9 has reportedly, so far, turned down every offer, especially those coming from Turkey. In his head there seems to be only AC Milan which, at the moment, is still looking for the striker for next season, the first with Max Allegri on the bench (a coach who knows the Serbian perfectly, having coached him at Juventus).
The resistance of Dusan Vlahovic is complicating, and not a little, Juventus’ incoming market and, probably, also the race for Jonathan David. It remains to be seen if and when a solution to the “Dusan Vlahovic” case will be found. Every day of waiting is a day lost in trying to get the Canadian center forward under contract.
