Settebello, the call-ups for the World Cup in Singapore
The head coach of the national water polo team Sandro Campagna has issued the call-ups for the world championships in Singapore.
The men at his disposal will be Gianmarco Nicosia (RN Savona), Francesco Di Fulvio (Pro Recco), Luca Damonte (RN Savona), Giacomo Cannella (Pro Recco), Filippo Ferrero (AN Brescia), Tommaso Gianazza (AN Brescia), Matteo Iocchi Gratta (Pro Recco), Francesco Condemi (Pro Recco), Nicholas Presciutti (Pro Recco), Lorenzo Bruni (RN Savona), Edoardo Di Somma (Ferencvaros), Alessandro Velotto (CN Marseille), Tommaso Baggi Necchi (AN Brescia), Francesco Cassia (CC Ortigia), Mario Del Basso (AN Brescia).
The staff will be led by team leader and federal vice president Giuseppe Marotta and will be completed, alongside Cittì Campagna, by assistant coach Christian Presciutti, goalkeeper trainer Goran Volarevic, team manager Daniele Bianchi, water polo doctor Giovanni Melchiorri, athletic trainer Alessandro Amato, physiotherapist Riccardo Cipolat, video analyst Paolo Baiardini and psychologist Bruna Rossi.
Preliminary group stage from July 12 to 16; in the round of 16 on July 18, the second and thirds of the groups face each other (cross 2A-3B, 3A-2B, 2C-3D, 3C-2D); in the quarterfinals on July 20, the winners of the groups face the winners of the round of 16 (1A-winner 2C-3D, 1B-winner 3C-2D, 1C-winner 2A-3B, 1D-winner 3A-2B). The fourth-place teams from the rounds face each other to define the last positions. Semifinals on July 22 and finals on July 24.
