First major feat of Inzaghi at the helm of the’Al-Hilal. In Orlando, the Arab club succeeds in the’feat of eliminate favorite Manchester City. Al-Hilal managed to impose themselves with the final result of 4-3 (after extra time) and thus win the pass to the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup.

A race of many emotions. At the end of regulation time (2-2, Haaland also netting), Al-Hilal changed gears and, thanks to goals by Koulibaly and Marcos Leonardo, ran away (Foden’s momentary 3-3 goal was useless). For Guardiola&#8217s Manchester City yet another disappointment in a decidedly bad season.

“We knew it was a tough game against one of the best teams in the world. We wanted to show our game ideas, our talent, our strength and I think we played a very good game. In defense we were very careful and in attack we took advantage of all the chances we created, so we can be satisfied”, the words of Koulibaly, author of the momentary 3-2 goal, reported by ESPN.

The’Al-Hilal thus enters the top eight of the tournament. In the quarterfinals it will face Fluminense, which got the better of’Inter, Inzaghi’s former team. Scheduled today are Juventus–Real Madrid (9 p.m. Italian time) and Borussia Dortmund–Monterrey (3 p.m.).
