Charles Leclerc and Ferrari can finally smile after a very promising start to the weekend at Silverstone. In fact, the Monegasque finished the day with an optimal second place in free practice behind only Lando Norris, after in the morning it was Lewis Hamilton who placed ahead of everyone. And the prospects, heading into the British Grand Prix, look decidedly good.

“The feelings behind the wheel were positive – said Leclerc at the end of the day -Things went well today, although we still have to work a bit’ on the car ahead of qualifying. In this respect we can still do something, while on the race pace we are definitely competitive”.

However, the optimism remains, after Leclerc had already spoken out after the positive Grand Prix d’Austria concluded on the podium. “I really enjoyed my time behind the wheel today. I can&#8217t wait until tomorrow already to get right back on track” added Ferrari&#8221s Monegasque.

Optimism broadly shared by teammate Lewis Hamilton, who after the many doubts garnered in his first months at Ferrari spoke even of feeling “exciting” after the first day on track at Silverstone. Now the goal is to confirm on Saturday, and especially on Sunday at the British Grand Prix.
