Torino soccer market: Samuele Ricci has linked up with AC Milan on a four-year contract and an’option for a fifth. A’€23 million deal for the granata (plus 1.5 in bonuses), which, however, the midfielder wanted to say goodbye to with a long post on his social channels before starting his new adventure in the land of Milan.

“Dear Toro fans – wrote Ricci -, it is with great emotion that I write to say goodbye to you. It is difficult to encapsulate three and a half years in an Instagram post. I arrived that I was a kid and thanks to the work of Coach Juric, Coach Vanoli and their respective staffs, I have improved in this journey. I want to thank you for your support and for making me feel, from the first moments, part of this big family. Torino is a special team and this jersey will always remain inside me”.

“What it represents goes beyond football– continued Ricci– and being Granata goes beyond the concept of cheering. It is a true way of being, a faith that is handed down from father to son. It was a real honor to have worn this jersey and a privilege to have been its captain for a fraction of the championship. I will take with me the passion you have passed on to me, the’welcome you have given me and the time you have given me by waiting for me at the stadium gate after every game, even in the rain. None of this has ever been taken for granted for me. You cannot forget what it feels like as a soccer player when you get off the bus in the square of Superga and pass through the midst of thousands of people to reenact the names of the INVINCIBLES. Just as you are touched when you visit the Grande Torino Museum, living its history”.

“A thank you I must also address to the club, primarily to the President who, with the support of the Director, gave me the opportunity to live this magnificent experience. Finally, I embrace everyone who has been part of my journey and has trodden the grass of the Olimpico Grande Torino with me, in victories and defeats. I wish each of you the best of luck in your careers! A double hug for Duvan and Perr to whom I wish to be able to return to play as soon as possible! I salute you all, continue to love the team as you know how to do” concluded Ricci in his last words as a Torino player. From now on, it will be Milan.
