When Jannik Sinner plays at Wimbledon: background with Pedro Martinez

After a clear victory with Aleksandar Vukic in the second round, Jannik Sinner is preparing to return to the court at Wimbledon for his third-round match at the Championships. The world number one will face Spaniard Pedro Martinez, number 52 in the ATP rankings.
The match between the Azure and the Iberian will open the Saturday, July 5 center court program: the two players will take the court at 2:30 p.m. Italian time (1:30 p.m. local time).
Between Sinner and Martinez there is only one precedent that smiles on the South Tyrolean champion: in fact, it dates back to the first round of the 2022 Internazionali d’Italia when Jannik overcame the Spaniard in two sets (6-4 6-3).
Sinner has so far conceded only twelve games to his opponents, while Martinez, after surrendering a set in his debut to British wildcard George Loffhagen, overcame Argentine Mariano Navone in three hard-fought sets in the second round.
