Ferrari: Leclerc sad and disconsolate, so many GPs without a win

In his seventh year at Ferrari, Leclerc is having a decidedly complicated season. A few flashes of light (four podiums) but also a lot of moments to forget, such as the British GP in which he was never a protagonist, finishing outside the Top 10.
The Monegasque is not hiding his disappointment with a season that, so far, has not seen him star. Last year, Leclerc won three GPs, this year victory never dawned. The’last high point was in Austin last October. Counting in hand, that makes 17 consecutive GPs in which the Ferrari driver has not crossed the finish line first.
Too many, too many for a man who, from his first day in Formula 1, has always said he wanted to win the World Championship. Given McLaren’s overwhelming power, Leclerc would like to at least carve out a few moments of joy by winning as many races as possible. A desire that, until now, has always dissipated. Sometimes because of the SF-25, sometimes because of his own demerits, and sometimes because of the strength of his opponents.
Leclerc thinks he has lost his magic touch in qualifying. In reality, there’s so much more. Despite all the efforts and an “aggressive” set-up of his single-seater, the problems, instead of diminishing, are increasing exponentially. In the crosshairs now is Spa (race scheduled for Sunday, July 27). Leclerc needs to get his smile back, with a win.
