Sonego, at Wimbledon with Shelton, hope lasts one set

Loses a piece the Italian expedition to Wimbledon: Lorenzo Sonego was eliminated in the round of 16 of the London tournament, beaten by the U.S. Ben Shelton, No. 10 in the seeding.
The Piedmontese player got off to a good start: he won the first set 6-3. Then, however, Shelton upped the tempo and brought home the second partial with a peremptory 6-1.
Decidedly more balanced were the third and fourth sets, which the American made his own with scores of 7-6 and 7-5.
Shelton will face in the quarterfinals the winner of the match between Jannik Sinner and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov while Flavio Cobolli will face the stainless Novak Djokovic.
