Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton stands with Frederic Vasseur

Lewis Hamilton gave an’interview to ‘Channel 4’ in which he talked about his first half of the season with Ferrari and where he reiterated his confidence in Frederic Vasseur, team principal of the Maranello-based stable for more than two and a half years now.
“Ferrari is very, very special – began the Englishman’Every time you put on the red suit and walk into the garage, see the car and get behind the wheel, it is always like that. There is something so special, there is a real aura around the cockpit when you get into it. And you know, you think of all the drivers who dreamed of driving it and didn”t get to do it: it”s a real privilege.
“I didn“t have any particular expectations when I came in, I had a very open mindset– the seven-time world champion later admitted. Obviously they were doing well at the end of last year, so it was safe to hope that there would be a continuation in terms of development. Probably the engineers and the team would say it is worse than they expected at the beginning of the year”.
“Fred brought me to this team and therefore I owe him a lot. When you join a team you observe how big the organization is and how the structure is set up. You come in with a new look compared to those who have been there for a long time. And with a fresh look you see very clearly all the positive but also the negative. I definitely think Fred is the right man to take us to the top. So I am working as hard as I can to support him and to make the necessary changes, which are many” Hamilton concluded.
