Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia unloads all the pressure on Marc Marquez

Pecco Bagnaia spoke to the media present at the Sachsenring ahead of the German Grand Prix: “In Assen I was the fastest and when you are and you don&#8217t win you can&#8217t be happy. Making a podium is always good, but not from my point of view when you have a weekend like the one in Holland. In Aragon it had been different”.

“The layout doesn&#8217t suit my style perfectly but last year I was competitive and had fun– added the three-time world champion at the German circuit. “I will have something to try this weekend, we will see how it goes”.

He then unloaded all the pressure on Marc Marquez: “I know my teammate is very strong here. The pressure will be on him this time, he is expected to disintegrate everyone on this track. I think he is even faster here than in Austin and Aragon. We will have to try to stay close to him and put some’ pressure on him”.

“What is missing to get back to victory? So many steps forward (laughs, ed.). In every circuit I always lack a tenth and a half or even two. It&#8217s not a lot, but the level is very high. It’s different than in 2024: we were going faster but there were only two of us. This year Marc is going stronger with the same bike as me and there&#8217s also Alex who is faster with the GP24. The level is very similar, but this time I don&#8217t set the pace. It is me who has to catch up and it is more difficult” concluded Bagnaia.
