PSG in hunt for fifth trophy with Mbappé mere spectator

Ligue 1, French Cup, French Supercup, Champions League and, if victory comes in the final against Chelsea (Sunday, July 13, 9 p.m.), the Club World Cup as well. PSG could end the season with as many as five trophies. A feat destined to enter the soccer history books.
After years of spending insane amounts of money to collect as many champions as possible, PSG has relied completely on Luis Enrique, who has decided to change direction: no more established top players but room for potential (and young) new champions. The’farewell, last summer, of Mbappé (who went to Real Madrid to win the Champions League), has sparked the birth of a team that, today, is almost unplayable.
Without Mbappé, the absolute catalyst of the game, Luis Enrique has been able to give space to many other players who, match after match, have become more and more convinced of their qualities, so much so that they have created a cohesive, strong, spectacular group.
From Dembélé to Doué, via the various Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha and many other players who have grown exponentially and are now convinced they can beat anyone on the field. PSG has tarred every opponent with great ease, showing effective play and important individualities. In France they are talking about a possible dynasty. All with Mbappé watching them play from the couch at home.
