Yesterday was the official announcement and this morning Stefano Pioli (just before lunch) walked through the gates of Viola Park to begin his third adventure at Fiorentina, his second as coach six years after the last time.

“There&#8217s excitement to be in Florence again, at Fiorentina. For me it is something special. To return to work here is a great emotion and I do it with immense pleasure, also with a great sense of responsibility because we are a great club where there&#8217s a whole city that supports us. Seeing so many people I knew again makes me feel at home,” the newly appointed Fiorentina coach told the official purple media.

“I found a facility, the Viola Park, incredible. And this is a plus that we will have to do our best work to make next season the best possible. Right now it is easy to talk to our fans and at the same time challenging. What we can promise, what I can promise, what we can promise as a club is what we will try to work every day with the utmost seriousness, great passion, great enthusiasm, to give ourselves and our fans the best possible satisfaction.”

“It is clear that when you start a new season, motivation is at its highest and ambitions are also high and it is right that they are. We want to build a Fiorentina that is competitive. That can play a soccer I don”t know if entertaining but that must please us, the players, our fans to keep our colors high”. Starting tomorrow, everyone goes to work with the start of the summer training camp at Viola Park.
