ATP Ranking: Jannik Sinner stretches ahead of Carlos Alcaraz

Jannik Sinner has one more reason to smile after his triumph at Wimbledon in the final against Carlos Alcaraz. In fact, thanks to his historic success at the Championships, the world number one has consolidated his position in the ATP rankings, with a significant lead over the Spaniard.
Sinner, who in 2024 at Wimbledon was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Daniil Medvedev, gained 1,600 points, while Alcaraz, who was the defending champion of the London Slam, lost 700 with the knockout in the last act.
The Blue then stretched over the Murcian by another 2,300 points: Sinner climbed to 12,030 points (his best score ever) in the world rankings, while Alcaraz dropped to 8,600. Far behind is Alexander Zverev, third, with ‘only’ 6,310 points.
Now comes the hard part, however, for the South Tyrolean champion, who between now and the ATP Finals in Turin will have to defend an’enormity of points: 6,030, while the Spaniard will discard just 1,060.
