Maverick Viñales will not race in Brno, where the Czech Republic Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, is scheduled for the weekend, which will then stop for almost a month for the summer break.

The KTM Tech3 rider had been involved in a ruinous crash during qualifying at the German Grand Prix, resulting in a dislocated left shoulder that forced him to miss Sprint Race and long race at Sachsenring.

Now the Catalan will also miss the next GP, as announced by his own team: “Left with a fracture in his left shoulder following his fall in Q2 at the German GP, Maverick Viñales flew to Italy on Sunday morning to undergo surgery in order to speed up the recovery process”.

“Everything went well and the Spaniard is already back home, fully focused on his rehabilitation. He will do everything possible to be back with the team as soon as possible, but Maverick will miss this week” the KTM satellite team note closes.
