Luka Modric introduces himself to AC Milan: "No mediocrity"
After Samuele Ricci, Milan have further strengthened their midfield with the purchase of Luka Modric. The experienced Croatian midfielder explained to Milan TV his decision to move to the Rossoneri: “As a child I watched a lot of Serie A and Milan was my favorite team also because my idol at the time, Zvonimir Boban“ was there.
“I had other offers, but when Milan called me it was clear to me. I wanted him from the first minute and I was also impressed that the ds Tare came to Croatia to present the project to me, for me it was very important because it showed me how much he cared. Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Europe, there is no doubt”.
Luka Modric then shook up the Rossoneri’s environment: “Milan cannot be satisfied with mediocrity, we need to set ourselves the biggest possible goals such as winning titles and competing with the best teams in the world”.
“I bring to the team my hunger to win, I want to help my teammates in all aspects and work hard to earn my place in the team. It is never easy, you have to work hard and fight. I always say that for me the most important thing is the’love for the game and for soccer. I still have it, I feel that I still have this fire inside me and that is what drives me, I still have the desire and hunger to win” concluded the Croatian outfielder.
