Controversy against Carlos Alcaraz, the'former champion points finger

Carlos Alcaraz’s mini-vacation to Ibiza after Roland Garros continues to hold headlines. According to many, the Murcia champion’s trip affected his subsequent matches, including the one he lost to Jannik Sinner in the final at Wimbledon.
Intervening at the Off the ball podcast, l’former Irish tennis player Conor Niland had this to say: “Jannik Sinner did not go to Ibiza between Roland Garros and Wimbledon. I think Carlos Alcaraz lives an inner conflict, he would like to have some’ normalcy and may be less focused on the court”.
“I would like to specify that Alcaraz has deep talent, has much more variety of play than Sinner, who does what he needs to do. Considering that they are 22 and 23 years old they have a very high threshold even for improvement” Niland pointed out, pointing out that the criticism is aimed more at a psychological aspect than technical.
