Ferrari: after the bottom, the suspension will also be changed at Spa

Ferrari will come to Spa-Francorchamps with the’intention of collecting the largest possible haul of points from the double rainbow event in the Ardennes (before the Belgian Grand Prix there will be the Sprint Race). There remains great anticipation for further technical innovations after those of Austria, but all remain to be verified.

After Spielberg, which saw Ferrari unveil the new bottom, the new rear suspension will take to the track at Spa. This is a long-awaited update, since one of the SF-25’s most notorious problems has always been tire management, stability and cornering, which the car’s very rear end did not guarantee. If it has long complained about it especially Lewis Hamilton, but Charles Leclerc has also struggled to adapt to this difficulty. And the results prove it.

According to reports from ‘Motorsport.com’ among other things, this will be the last update of the year for the Cavallino, which will thereafter focus mainly on preparing the Ferrari that will participate in the 2026 Formula 1 championship. Starting at Spa, then, there will be a more accurate picture of the Redhead&#8217s potential until the end of the current championship. There is talk of at least a one-tenth gain, which the track will have to confirm.

The Belgian Grand Prix, moreover, does not represent the best opportunity to outline the situation, not so much and not only because of the almost unique characteristics of the Spa track as because of the race formula for this season. The presence of the Sprint Race, in fact, will allow Leclerc and Hamilton to try out the new features in just one free practice session. Then every result will count.
