Stefanos Tsitsipas fires Goran Ivanisevic after criticism

The partnership between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Goran Ivanisevic lasted just two months. In a statement, the Greek tennis player made official his separation from’Djokovic’s former coach: “Working with Goran was a short but intense experience and a truly valuable chapter in my journey”.
“I am grateful to him for the time, effort and energy he devoted to me and my team. I have nothing but respect for Goran, not only for what he has done in tennis, but also for the person he is. I wish him nothing but the best for the future”.
Tsitsipas, who exited in the first round at Wimbledon, had been sharply criticized by Ivanisevic: “He keeps saying ‘I want, I want’ but I don’t see that effort. I was shocked; I have never seen a player in worse physical condition in my life. With this knee, I am three times as fit as he is. It is really bad”.
