The ‘Made in Italy’ pair composed of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori is seeking their seventh win in an ATP doubles tournament on Sunday. The two Italian tennis players will face Monegasque Hugo Nys and Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the final act of the Washington tournament, in a challenge involving four veterans of the racket.

The match that will decide the champion pair will be played at 6 p.m. Italian time (12 p.m. local time) on the concrete court of the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in the U.S. capital. The match will be televised, in Italy, by Sky Sport and streamed on NOW and is also available on TennisTv, the ATP circuit’s web broadcaster.

Bolelli and Vavassori are playing in Washington as the tournament&#8217s No. 1 seed: in the previous rounds, the two blues defeated 7-5, 5-7, 10-7 Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul, 6-4, 6-3 Alexander Erler and Robert Galloway, and 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 Neal Skupski and John Patrick Smith. Sunday&#8217s is their chance to win their fourth paired tournament in 2025, following those in Adelaide, Rotterdam and Hamburg.

Nys and Roger-Vasselin will instead play the U.S. capital tournament as No. 3 in the seeding: before reaching the finals, the Monegasque and the Frenchman had beaten Nick Kyrgios and Gael Monfils 6-2, 6-2, Matthew Ebden and John Peers 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 and finally Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 7-6(5), 6-4. The two have never won as a pair, although Nys has won 7 doubles titles and Roger-Vasselin 28, always with other partners.
