London’s stadiums recounted by Carlo Cartacci

‘London and its Stadiums’ (Urbone Publishing) is the interesting new book by the multifaceted Carlo Cartacci: a pharmacist, he is also a sports agent, pundit and commentator on TV football talk-shows. He was born in 1968, the year of the Ballon d’Or to George Best, one of the few Britons to have crossed this milestone.
His latest endeavor is a photographic volume on London’s stadiums filled with images gathered from fifteen years of travels to the football capital. Stadiums that no longer exist and have written soccer history and new modern, super-technological stadiums ready to write the pages of the future. A journey through time, talking about iconic facilities like Wembley, stadiums like Stamford Bridge and Emirates Stadium, ancient architectural masterpieces like Craven Cottage, Highbury and Selhurst Park, but also many incredible suburban stadiums.
In ‘London and its Stadiums,’ whose foreword was authored by Sky Sport’s Maurizio Compagnoni, Cartacci also talks about the fan-favorite pubs that are the natural appendage of the stadiums. This is where people experience the immediate eve and post-match music, with a varied soundtrack often influenced by the close ties between singers, musicians or even entire bands with their favorite team.
