Luis Enrique exalts Chevalier and thinks no more of Donnarumma

When it seemed lost, the PSG got it back. Thanks to an epic finish, Luis Enrique brought home the European Super Cup. A victory that is worth a lot, especially in light of the decision to leave Donnarumma at home and bet on Chevalier.
The substitute national team goalkeeper made a serious mistake (on Romero’s goal) but was decisive in the penalty shootout, parrying Tel’s shot and, in fact, proving decisive in winning the trophy.
Luis Enrique, in a press conference, extolled his new number 1: “Chevalier? I am happy, he has shown personality and we want him to integrate with us right away. I am also happy with how he has helped the team, we always want to improve. I think we’re going to be stronger this year. Everyone was talking about the situation, it was not easy for him, but he showed great character”.
In fact, considering how the situation had turned out, the PSG coach is right to congratulate the team and its new goalkeeper. Everyone was ready to point the finger at his choice to leave Donnarumma at home and, instead, in the end, the joy of the triumph erased all doubts. Chevalier, in a matter of minutes, went from a catastrophic debut to hero of an epic victory.
