Carlos Alcaraz does not cough and goes to the final against Jannik Sinner

Coping respected. Once again, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will face each other in the final. This time with the Cincinnati Masters 1000 trophy up for grabs (the’Italian is defending champion). No one, as happened at Wimbledon, has been able to stand up to the two new tennis aces.
The world number 1 overcame the’Terence Atmane obstacle while Carlos Alcaraz got rid, in the semifinals, of Alexander Zverev. The Spaniard prevailed over the German (not in the best physical condition) in two sets: 6-4, 6-3 the partials, in a total of one’hour and 45′ of play.
The Spaniard won in two sets.
Match affected by rain (match started late by about half an hour) and immediately stopped due to yet another illness in the stands (fortunately without serious consequences). Especially in the second set, Alexander Zverev did not appear in top form. Only the Spaniard’s many errors prevented a sharper partial: “Wasn’t he okay? It was a difficult situation for me too. I wish him the best”, the comment, post match, by Carlos Alcaraz himself.
In the end, Carlos Alcaraz enjoys what is the’eighth final of his incredible 2025. He will face Jannik Sinner for the 14th time in his career. The record is in favor of the Murcian (8 to 5) but the memory of the final lost at Wimbledon is still vivid in the mind of the world No. 2.
