Premier League 2025-2026: Arsenal-Nottingham Forest, the likely lineups

Ange Postecoglou&#8217s adventure on the Nottingham Forest bench begins against Arsenal. Not an easy task for the former Tottenham coach, chosen by Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis after the stormy break in his relationship with Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo. The match, valid for the fourth day of the 2025-2026 Premier League, will be played at the Emirates Stadium in London at 1 p.m. Italian time.

Arsenal started the league with two wins and one defeat: the successes came against Manchester United (1-0) and Leeds (5-0), while the knockout came on the field of Liverpool (1-0). Coach Mikel Arteta is ready to confirm a lineup with an offensive imprint, relying on Viktor Gyokeres’ scoring skills but also on the speed of Madueke and Martinelli.

On the other side there&#8217s little room for experimentation.

Postecoglou, called upon to make people forget the heavy 0-3 pre-match against West Ham, will most likely rely on 4-2-3-1, with Wood the main offensive terminal supported by Ndoye, Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi. Ola Aina is out with a flexor injury, possible use on Savona’s wing.

Probable lineups

ARSENAL (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Merino, Zubimendi, Rice; Madueke, Gyokeres, Gabriel Martinelli. All. Arteta.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST (4-2-3-1): Sels; Savona, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Sangaré, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. All. Postecoglou.
