Fabio Fognini stirs controversy with statements about Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz

There is a great social debate going on about Fabio Fognini’s words regarding Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The now former Ligurian champion, a guest on Alessandro Cattelan’s podcast, analyzed the two young outfielders this way: “Jannik has uncommon qualities, however, he is square. Carlos, on the other hand, is a guy who has fun and needs to have fun off the field, it shows well in his documentary”.
“In my career I also played with Andreas Seppi and Jannik is a little bit’ like him. He has extra skills beyond the reach of any other tennis player, he knows what he wants and he knows how to take it” said Fognini.
The’former racket champion added: “They are two very different players. We Italians know Jannik well and clearly we all root for him, then here in Italy it often happens that if you win you are a phenomenon, if you lose they start dotting the i’s as it happened after the US Open final“.
Meanwhile Patrick Mouratoglou, in a video shared on his Instagram profile, revealed a very curious statistic about the US Open: Amanda Anisimova’s average backhand speed (almost 124 km/h) is higher than both Jannik Sinner’s (120.7 km/h) and Carlos Alcaraz’s (117.5 km/h). Not many people expected this.
