Barcolana57: Allianz and UMANA MENTE at sea with Mauro Pelaschier and Tommaso Chieffi, between sport and inclusion
Anemos II returns to ply the Gulf of Trieste with the colors of Allianz and a special crew. On the occasion of the Barcolana57, Marco Bono’s Farr 80 will once again be the star of the historic sea festival, involving not only employees of the insurance group but also people with intellectual disabilities.
The initiative is now a long-awaited event for Allianz’s Trieste employees, who will take turns at sea between training sessions until October 12. Leading the crew are two legends of Italian sailing: Mauro Pelaschier and Tommaso Chieffi, confirmed at the controls of Anemos II after the brilliant result of 2024 (seventh place overall, first place cruise category and second place overall in the category).
The crew will be in charge of the crew.
New this year is the participation on Friday, October 10, of a group of guests with intellectual disabilities in the Barcolana Maxi Trofeo Portopiccolo, a regatta reserved for boats over 16 meters. Also on board, along with professionals and employees, were beneficiaries of the Allianz UMANA MENTE Foundation, in collaboration with the Pietro Pittini Foundation and the Oltre quella Sedia association.

For our employees of the Trieste office, the opportunity to live with Anemos II the period of the Barcolana is now a fixed appointment, awaited with great enthusiasm and with the desire to experience intense emotions alongside great sailing champions. This year, with the Allianz UMANA MENTE Foundation, we thought of involving people with disabilities in an exciting regatta such as the one dedicated to Maxi boats, because the sea can be a place of inclusion and new adventures for everyone”.
