L'Olimpia Milano is back on the market: long-serving Nate Sestina arrives

Refreshed by the victory on the court of Zalgiris Kaunas, Olimpia will return to the court Sunday, at lunchtime, at home of Dinamo Sassari. It cannot be ruled out that it may come to the challenge with the Sardinian team with a new addition to the current roster.
Only the officialdom is missing to sanction the arrival of Nate Sestina in Milan. The 28-year-old American, after being released by Valencia, is ready for his new adventure in the biancorosso. Able to play both as a four and, on occasion, in the role of center, Nate Sestina will lend a big hand to a longs department mowed down by injuries.
At the moment, the various Nebo, LeDay and especially former Denver Nuggets’Cancar are in the pits. The latter still has problems with that knee that has been affecting him for quite some time and it is unclear when and if he will be back at Coach Messina’s disposal.
Hence the need to rely on Nate Sestina, a player who can make an important contribution, as his former coach at Valencia Martinez explained well: “I am sure Nate will play well in Milan. He will have a different role (he was on the sidelines at Valencia, ed) and will be able to show what he is capable of. Here we could not guarantee him what he wanted”, the words of Martinez himself.
