The Tokyo domination seems a mirage: Pecco Bagnaia disappointed in the Sprint race of the Grand Prix d’Australia, finishing in second-to-last position. Marc Marquez or not, the Piedmontese rider continues to have difficulties with his Ducati: “We are checking the data, trying to understand what is happening. It is very clear that the bike is moving a lot. We have been trying to understand what has been happening for a long time. It has nothing to do with tuning or the’electronics, that”s clear.

“The normal thing is what happened in Japan. In the Sprint I was a passenger, simply that. I had to close the throttle several times to keep the bike from shaking”.

Without Marc Marquez, Ducati is so far disappointing at Phillip Island: “If Marc was here he would probably be on the podium, I can’t get the bikes to stop moving. I know that under normal conditions I am able to fight, but the problem is that I cannot replicate the feeling I had in Japan. In theory, the two bikes are the same. Ducati has built me a bike from scratch four or five times. The feelings are worse than at the’beginning of the season” are his words to Sky.

“When you are no longer in charge but you are the passenger it becomes really tough. On a track with such a high average speed and so many potholes it becomes even more difficult. We all hope we can find the solution. It’s a problem we&#8217ve been carrying since the beginning of the year and none of us want to continue like this for the remaining races or in next year, so we”re looking for the solution.
