Jacob Gilyard ready to push Cantù to the top

Jacob Gilyard, director of the newly promoted Acqua S.Bernardo, spoke to the Cantù Newspaper just hours before the delicate home challenge with a Vanoli Cremona team that has made a great start to its championship.
“The tournament is more or less as I expected it to be, which is of a good level – he said. “I’m not shooting with good percentages and this is frustrating for me. But, being the point guard, so many times the result depends on what I do on the court. I think valuing teammates is the most important part of my role. When I was able to do that, it benefited the whole team”.
“I like the city. The fans are great, I realized since this summer how warm the fans were and it is very important for us. Since we have one win and three losses we have a lot to work on” added the former Niners Chemnitz.
