Foul Bisseck in Verona, Paolo Zanetti disagrees: "Hard to talk about it"

The defeat against Inter in full recovery does not sit well with Paolo Zanetti. Not so much for the episodes that led to the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 loss at the Bentegodi, but for the failure to expel Yann Bisseck for a foul on Giovane that would have allowed Verona to play the last half hour in numerical superiority and with the score still tied.
In the post-match press conference in Verona, Zanetti did not hide about the’incident involving Bisseck: “Talking about it is difficult. The ball goes in a lateral direction and not straight toward the’area. However, Giovane, with the speed he has, a ball like that can go and retrieve it and then go into the goal. It was an extremely dangerous situation. But it was, we also had a colossal chance with Orban who hit the post. I am the same proud of the team”.
Verona remains in the midst of the relegation zone, however, but Zanetti does not see black: “This team has important potential, but it is difficult to look to the future with confidence when the results are not coming. From the beginning of the season we deserved to win seven, in any case now we have to remain lucid. Points count, our championship must start now. L’Inter and Chivu complimented us and we are very proud, even if the spinning of boxes is huge”.
“The fire in the team is always burning, and it is at its highest on my part as well. The boys follow me through everything, we are improving and it shows. We are human and so we are furious, our goal is to entertain our fans but above all to save Verona. We have shown that we know how to play, we play with an open face and the stadium applauds us despite the certainly not good results”.
