Italrugby, now there's South Africa: Federico Ruzza doesn't want any dips

After the splendid 26-19 victory against Australia in Udine, the Italian national rugby team raises the bar even higher for the second test match of the Quilter Nations Series: on Saturday, November 15, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, world champion South Africa arrives in fact, as well as holder of the Rugby Championship and recent winner against France in Saint Denis.
An opponent therefore of absolute level for the Azzurri who, as Federico Ruzza confirms, cannot afford to drop the ball: “Against South Africa I played a few years ago – said the Azzurri second line -. Surely on Saturday we will have to take one more step. We know what kind of team South Africa is and in every game they always try to bring something different”.
“Everyone talks about the physical aspect and their consistency, but we must not forget that they are an unpredictable team. What will be able to make the difference is the lucidity with which we will deal with the various game situations” added the 31-year-old from Padua, on the major national team roster since 2017 and now one of the staples of the Azzurri scrum.
“I think we can still be a little more precise – Ruzza then added -We know the value of South Africa and we will have to be even more incisive. I think in general it was a quality performance against Australia, but we can still do a little more in disrupting the opponent’s game. It is always right to try to want to improve and always give more”.
