Thanks to Cimiano Calcio, the Italo Galbiati Trophy is back

Thanks to Cimiano Calcio, a historic Milanese club, the Italo Galbiati Trophy is back. The third edition aims to retrace the great success of the first two, hosting many of the most prestigious teams on the Lombardy soccer scene.
“We are honored to bring to life for the third consecutive year this tournament that celebrates the’legacy of Italo Galbiati, a symbol of dedication and love for our sport. This event is not only an’opportunity to compete but also to unite hearts and convey the values Italo embodied in his life” explains Cimiano Calcio President Federico Galli.
Galbiati, who died in 2023 at the age of 85, had long been Fabio Capello’s right-hand man: he had also followed the Pieris coach in his experiences at Roma, Juventus, Real Madrid, with the English and Russian national teams. As a footballer he had worn the jerseys of Inter, Reggina, Lecco and Como.
