While waiting to see how the situation related to Robert Lewandowski, not even too hidden dream of the Milan management, the Rossoneri are trying to play d’advance given also the difficulties of the center forward on whom they had bet last January, Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican’s future at the Diavolo is in the balance, the name of the possible replacement is surprising: it is in fact Jonathan David.

The Canadian striker, currently with Juventus, has suffered the Bianconeri’s up-and-down start and so far has not replicated the numbers recorded in his Ligue 1 experience at Lille. The Rossoneri, according to reports from ‘Tuttosport’ are reportedly considering the feasibility of a transfer as early as January, but first they will have to figure out what to do about Gimenez.

Joined in January 2025 from Feyenoord, the Mexican striker has so far disappointed expectations, struggling to settle in the Italian league and also suffering some physical problems in these early months of 2025-2026. Massimiliano Allegri has not been able to count on him in the last two games against Roma and Parma, but in general he has never left him for 90′ on the field, trying instead to get Christopher Nkunku into a rhythm in the same role.

The solution linked to David, who since Luciano Spalletti&#8217s arrival has played just 36 minutes in three games, fits right into this groove: the striker wants to prove he is worth a starting place in a big name in Italian soccer and Juventus itself could consider a transfer while also waiting to see what Dusan Vlahovic will do and whether Lois Openda will return to the one seen in Leipzig. The January market is now upon us, the answers to all these questions are coming.
