Francesco Molinari and Matteo Manassero in the field in Bermuda

After achieving his best result of the season on the circuit (27th place in Mexico in the World Wide Technology Championship), Francesco Molinari returns to the field on the PGA Tour along with Matteo Manassero. From Nov. 13-16 at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton Parish, Bermuda, the two Azzurri will play the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The penultimate event of the Fall FedEx Cup, it will put $6,000,000 up for grabs, $1,080,000 of which will go to the winner, and will guarantee important points toward retaining the category for 2026.
After the RSM Classic (Nov. 20-23), the top 100 players will be assured of playing on the PGA Tour again next year. While those from 101/a to 125/a position will gain an unfilled “card.” Currently, Molinari, who celebrated his 43rd birthday last Nov. 8, is 187th. The Open included, so far the Turin native has participated in 14 PGA Tour events in 2025, making the cut seven times. While Manassero, 32, from Negrar di Valpolicella (Verona), in his 18th competition of the season (eight eliminations, including five in recent occasions, and a 6th place finish in Canada as his best round), is 164th.
Defending the title will be Puerto Rican Rafael Campos able to overtake American Andrew Novak in 2024. Among the favorites are Americans Sahith Theegala, Patrick Rodgers, Justin Lower, Eric Cole and Matt Kuchar. Plus: France’s Victor Perez, Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen, Philippines’ Rico Hoey, Germany’s Matti Schmid, England’s Danny Willett, Japan’s Takumi Kanaya and Colombia’s Nico Echavarria. As for past winners, also in the field with Campos will be Ireland’s Seamus Power (2022, when he made 28 birdies, a competition record) and Colombia’s Camilo Villegas (2023).
